Seven.

Weight: 18.5 lbs
Diapers: Baby Dry Sz 3
Clothes: 9-12months

Darilng Baby Girl,
Here we are at 7 months already. We've spent this last month together in Florida (once again) and it has (once again) been a month chock full of growth & giggles. I can't even believe that every month with you continues to be better than the last. How is that even possible? You have filled our lives with so much joy and I'm amazed every day at the miracle you are! Like last week when you were sitting in your bumbo and couldn't reach a paper on the table so you used your foot to pull it towards you.....or last night when you realized you could get me to cry instantly just by biting me when I feed you. Not even my highschool drama teacher could get me to cry on a whim. Pure talent my sweet girl!

Food:
You are eating 3 servings of oatmeal a day mixed with either apples, bananas or avocado in the morning and broccoli or sweet potato at night. I always feed you breastmilk an hour before I give you solids and then right after so you are still getting about the same amount of milk as usual. My goal is to continue you on 90% breastmilk until you are a year old.
Your 2 bottom teeth finally broke through on Jan 12th and I can see your top row starting to align itself.
You haven't reacted poorly to any food you've tried so far so we'll keep experimenting. Something I would also like you try experimenting with is sleeping through the night....

Sleep:
This seems to be in a state of constant fluctuation. I have learned to never utter the words "she slept through the night last night." There is not a block of wood large enough on this planet for me to knock on as I say that.
You have dropped your 3rd nap of the day and your bedtime is consistent between 730-8pm.

Play:
You are such a charming, fun, playful little ham. And you don't play favourites with your smile. Everybody gets them and I think it's nice that you bring a smile to everyone who meets you.
The world has become a much friendlier place when I'm pushing you around.
You grab everything in your path. And when you grab something after a bit of a struggle you utter the cutest little "Ha"....as if to say "Take that!"
I cannot leave you on your own in your bumbo or swing because you can manage your way out of that situation in the blink of an eye. And you do the double roll over now. You are so close to crawling!
You have a voice. We've all heard it and so has the whole neighbourhood.
Oh...and regretfully you've learned to say Dada. What's the big deal anyway? It's not like I birthed you or anything. Just kidding....I think it's very sweet!

Love you baby girl!

Sweet'toes

Chloe had her first taste of colour today!! I added in a tbsp of pureed sweet potato to the 2tbsp of oatmeal she had for lunch and she loved it! Not only did her tastebuds love it, but the rest of her face, hands, legs & bumbo chair! I'm planning on giving her a new fruit & veggie every week and love the recipes found on Nurture Baby

Nice & clean before lunch:
Hmmm...
"What is this strange orange goop coming towards me?"
"Okay...this looks like fun!"
"Ahh...orange bliss!:

"I think I'll just spread this all over the table"

Cereal Shmereal

Chloe had her 4 month vaccination last week (delayed 2 months) and the doctor gave us the go ahead to start introducing solids. It wasn't that I was really waiting for him to say it was "okay", I think I've just been putting it off because she is so healthy & has tripled her birthweight in 6 months on 100% breastmilk. But my friends, the last few months she has clearly been sending me a message...at 11pm...at 2am....at 5am. She's hungry!!

So, I decided to pull out that box of rice cereal that's been staring at me for a month now and well.....take a look.

I know the first try is usually a big FAIL, so I'll keep trying. Any suggestions would be welcomed!
