Birth Announcements & Stuff

So Chloe & I worked hard at getting all 75 birth announcements out yesterday...only 8 weeks later!! It was quite a fun day (insert sarcasm here) as I was addressing envelopes in between screaming fits. This screaming & crying was like no other I had heard before. After a very long day I settled down to the computer with her sleeping by my side and googled away. I settled upon the fact that Chloe must be going through a developmental growth spurt since all the signs were there. Eating every hour - check, irritable & fussy - check, disruptive sleep - check. Then at 5am this morning, Chloe did her first roll over!

Well - that's not all folks. As today was turning out to be much like yesterday, I explored my second thought...maybe she's teething? No...don't be silly, I told myself. So when Chris came home from work I asked him to take a look and tell me I wasn't crazy...and sure enough he confirmed it with his trusty flashlight. On the eve of her 8 week birthday, our dear Chloe is sprouting her bottom teeth!!! Excuse me while I go grab the first tube of baby Orajel I lay my eyes on....

Another Photo Opp

Chloe was in such a good mood yesterday - what better time to pull out the camera. Well, actually it was "Mimi's" super high tech SLR camera which takes much better pictures than my credit card shaped digital.

Although Chloe is now delighting us with her beautiful smile, it is rare that we get a picture of it in time. Many of these pictures showcase her typical look of "you're seriously taking more pictures of me....and what am I wearing?"

I picked up the remainder of the newborn pics today at Sears (ahem...1 month later). I just love the picture of Chris & Chloe...talk about Daddy's girl!

Chloe's Model Shoot

I say Model Shoot because Chloe was quite the diva this day. I really can't blame her though...we were afterall in the basement of Sears where the temperature was blazing hot. This was the classic first time parent mistake. I read that it was best to take newborn pics in the first 2 weeks because that way the baby won't move around as much.

Well...after a 45 minute fussy session & $250 later...I think we might just take our own from now on. I still haven't received all the pics and this has put off sending timely birth announcements - I'm not impressed at all with Sears.

Here's the pics I have received so far. Although Chloe was crying the whole time, we managed to get a few shots that resemble a calm baby!
