Mommy's tired. Real tired.

Last night you were up at 10pm, 12am, and then from 2-6am you were kicking away & talking up a storm. I know that you're frustrated that you can't quite roll over yet, but don't worry - you have more than enough time during the day to practice your skills.

You're driving mommy to drink....very large coffees.

And as much as you beg me - I will not share my coffee with you.

Because that's the only thing that's going to get me through today.

Even at midnight, I see you smiling big at me and all I can do is laugh...because you know you've got me right where you want me.

The best way to Shop

Before I get to the point of this post, I would like to first share that I certainly did not picture myself taking Chloe for a shopping trip in the afternoon when I was lying on the couch at 5am this morning listening to her talk & play like there was no tomorrow.

The recent time change has really seemed to mix her sleeping patterns up (which were going so well leading up to it). That & the fact that she seems to be going through another big growth spurt as she's been waking up every 2 hrs to feed. This morning at around 430am she was wide awake - talking away and trying to kick her legs up high enough so she could roll over. She hasn't quite done a full rollover yet & I can see that it's frustrating her!

Regardless of our tough night, the morning progressed along well and Grandpa took her out for a nice long walk while I ran 5K around them. After her long nap, I took her to the mall for the afternoon. I decided to just put her in the sling -and she did awesome. She just snuggled up to me the whole time and was such a good girl!

Chloe would like all her grandparents to know that she particularly liked the fashions on Stella McCartney at baby Gap & the crewcuts line at Jcrew.

So the past few nights Chloe has been showing off her new sleep patterns and has been giving me a 5 hr block of straight sleep. But I was not prepared for the treat I was in for last night when I awoke to her moving around at 4am after going to bed at 830pm!! 7 straight hrs of glorious sleep! I'm so proud of my little angel. She's sleeping in her own room and falls right back asleep after feeding. All I do is kiss her 100 times & put on the image projector & she's out like a light!

Birth Announcements & Stuff

So Chloe & I worked hard at getting all 75 birth announcements out yesterday...only 8 weeks later!! It was quite a fun day (insert sarcasm here) as I was addressing envelopes in between screaming fits. This screaming & crying was like no other I had heard before. After a very long day I settled down to the computer with her sleeping by my side and googled away. I settled upon the fact that Chloe must be going through a developmental growth spurt since all the signs were there. Eating every hour - check, irritable & fussy - check, disruptive sleep - check. Then at 5am this morning, Chloe did her first roll over!

Well - that's not all folks. As today was turning out to be much like yesterday, I explored my second thought...maybe she's teething? No...don't be silly, I told myself. So when Chris came home from work I asked him to take a look and tell me I wasn't crazy...and sure enough he confirmed it with his trusty flashlight. On the eve of her 8 week birthday, our dear Chloe is sprouting her bottom teeth!!! Excuse me while I go grab the first tube of baby Orajel I lay my eyes on....
