Shoe Flu

It is days like today that I truly realize what an amazing machine our bodies are. I spent the last 48 hrs with the stomach flu and let me tell you...not so swell! As I come around the corner tonight, my body is craving water & fresh fruit and I'm pretty excited to welcome my appetite back. I'm even more amazed that even though I had zero nutrients in my system, my body still produced milk.

The weekend was off to a good start - on Friday night we celebrated my beautiful friend Kelly's 30th bday at Pow Wow. I think she found it a tad bit comforting knowing I had already ventured into the 3 dot.

I was feeling a bit nauseous before I left to meet them for dinner, but thought it was probably just my body not being used to eating so late. Then it slowly took over and by 11pm I was home and well...I'm sure you don't want to hear the rest of the deets.
Yesterday was a complete write off and now today I'm feeling much better - spent the day with this:

What's your favorite thing to do when you're needing a bit of comfort?

Oh, I'm so glad you're on the other side of this, I HATE the flu! Looks like you had good company (LOVE The Princess Bride!!).

I'm like you, I love a good movie when I'm sick, or a good book! Hope you're 100% soon!!

Hope you're feeling better. Isn't it awful being sick with a little one to take care of?

Hope Chloe stays healthy.

I'm with you - couch, movies or a book if I'm sick. Or maybe a SATC/30 Rock/Arrested Development marathon!

Glad you are feeling better!

I love laying on the couch watching a good movie and having some yummy chicken noodle soup!

Glad you are feeling better!

When sick, gotta have a good movie (Princess Bride, nice pick!), and 7-up and Cheetos. Cheestos stay down :)

My favourite memory of being sick is as a kid my mom would make us a bed on the couch. She would take a clean sheet and tuck it all the way around the cushions, then get us a clean pillow case and another flat sheet to go over us. There's something so comforting in lying on a cool, clean sheet when you have a fever. It was also one of the only times we would get popsicles!! My mom wasn't the perfect mother in a lot of ways, but she sure knew how to take care of us when we were sick!
